From the President of SingAREN
On behalf of the Singapore Advanced Research and Education Networks (SingAREN), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Singapore for the 63rd Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN63).
The strength of our research and education community lies not in any single network, but in the enduring partnerships among National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) across the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Together, we have built a trusted and resilient ecosystem that enables researchers, educators, and innovators to collaborate seamlessly across borders.
SingAREN is privileged to be part of this remarkable community. We are honoured to work alongside our regional and global partners in advancing research connectivity, digital infrastructure, and scientific collaboration for the benefit of all.
As we gather this week, I hope APAN63 will inspire new ideas, strengthen friendships, and foster even greater collaboration. I also encourage you to experience Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage, diverse cuisine, and warm hospitality.

Dear Delegates, Distinguished Guests, and Friends,
On behalf of SingAREN, it is our greatest privilege to welcome you to the 63rd Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN63) meeting.
This particular gathering is incredibly meaningful to me, as it marks the third time I have been personally involved in hosting an APAN meeting in Singapore. Over the years, I have seen firsthand how vital this community is. To build on that legacy, SingAREN and the APAN Program Committee have put together an exciting and dynamic program intentionally designed to maximize interaction, spark new ideas, and give everyone more opportunities to connect.
The APAN meeting has always been a premier platform for us to share knowledge, collaborate, and fundamentally strengthen the research and education community
across the region.
Beyond the sessions and technical exchanges, I warmly invite you to experience Singapore. Known globally as a “City in a Garden,” Singapore offers a unique blend
of urban innovation and lush greenery. I highly encourage you to explore our rich diversity of food–a beautiful reflection of our multi-cultural population.
